Problems burning Street Fighter 3 Alpha
This is the release by Kalisto, 1 CD / 33 RARS, around 76 minutes bin/cue format. I used CDRWIN, with an 80 minute cd. First, in windows 2k, I started burning it, left, and found that my computer mysteriously restarted leaving me a coaster. I ran it again in test mode, and it just restarts my computer in the middle of the burning process without warning.
Next, I tried in my win98 boot, with CDRWin. It burned it completely, and was finished burning, but when I closed the program, it did an illegal operation. That last part shouldn't have mattered but the game doesn't work when I pop it in the Dc. Next, tried with fireburner since its another prg that deals with bin/cue files. Ran a test first, successful, and then burned, but got an error around 33% it? So 3 cds in the toilet. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Maybe I need a patch or something, i'm not sure? |

Ok, I just tried again with fireburner, turned all background programs off, left it at default, and I made a 4th coaster. Firebuner gave me the following errors:
Thread2: Write Error @ Sector 62451 Thread2: WRITE ERROR ($03/$0C/$00) Thread2: Synchronizing Cache Thread1: Thread 2 has terminated |

ok, you can get isobuster and extract the files from the bin image... then, use you prefered burning software to make a bootable or non-bootable copy of the game (use echelons selfboot guide for bootable). this is a good way to go about it, since your having so many problems with it...
