Exclamation Hexen 2 links don't work.

I noticed that none of the mirrors appear to host the No-CD patches for Hexen 2 and its mission pack. Can they still be re-upped anytime soon? Thank you.

Appears they don't have the cracks for Portal of Praevus though. And googling for them found no other locations.

So who is taking up the challenge of finding them lol....Ive owned the games once but not anymore..If I remember correct they were'nt backed up either..Just the original cd's..So I would have no idea were the original cracks seeing there about 200 years old now...Good Luck

Does the addon have its own EXE & if so is it just a Cd Check were talking about...If it is & its allowed upload the EXE to Rapidshare & ill have a go..

I've uploaded all four cracked EXE's in a single package to http://sta.c64.org/shared/Hexen_2.rar.

If you look closely, those (already deleted) cracks were done by me about 6 years ago. So, even if I don't have the crack packages, I still have the cracked EXE's.

You see, I bother neither with original or backed up CD's; I make rips of my games: large RAR archives that need to be uncompressed only, no installation needed. And since DVD's are physically so large but are (relatively) so slow and can contain so little data, they have been archived to a very large hard disk instead. With a USB hard disk rack, this means about half a minute to access ANY game in my collection (from Test Drive in 1987 to STALKER in 2007), whenever I like. How about that for organizing?

Do you bother to compress the sounds into mp3 and all that as well? or do you just pack them into rars?

@rlsuth: Ts-ts-ts, I have two hard disks (one at home, another at my work place). Remember: one backup is no backup at all!

@caki: MP3/UHA and other tricks are for packaging warez releases to as small sizes as possible - and, as a side effect, that makes the unpacking VERY long. For me, size doesn't matter (khm ) but unpacking time does so, no, I don't do extra compression steps.

yes this is the right attitude dude since hdds getting cheaper all day...
doing it the same way but mostly with(out)minimal compression, just a backup copy-in-a-rar. this speeds up the entire process a lot.

time is money

I'll no were to come for those outdated cracks then...Me is off on EBAY to see what the oldest game is...My most favourite game pack is DOOM 95.....I love that game & all its addons..Just a shame they spoilt it with the new version..

You lot stay cool & enjoy playing your backups now...
