Is it possible to Rip DC GDRom using the ethernet network adapter???

If find it pretty messy to cut NGPC cable and building a PC-DC serial cable. In fact I've no time to such stuff especially to wait 12 hours to transfer a Game.
So I'm wondering, the serial cable is about server/slave connection and it must be possible to do just the same with the DC ethernet adapter. If you know something about it plz...

i think i read it here on the forum that someone was using it, but i don't remember how long ago it was.
i personally have never entertained the thought but it should work though if the adapter is like an ethernet card it should let you see what is on the gdrom drive (the dc)
