Disk at ONce vs. track at once problems,

well after 3 tries i finally managed to burn one of those discs with a 4 sec. audio track at the beginning,

but i had to use disk at once, cos my cdr sucks, but now it seems whenever i run
e-DOA2le the gdrom stutters , like it's getting ready to explode or something, i have some original discs that do the same, but not as loud,

and between the cutscenes it pauses for like three secs while that gdrom just whirls away, almost straining it seems, to read the disc!

uh, is this normal??? my system is like 2 days old.
and it was late at night to so any sound probably seemed amplified...hmm
something to do with disk at once? help please.
