I could'nt figure out what to put as the boot sector either. It seems like a very simple problem we both have.

go.to/selfboot tutorial

Thanks Xena,

I was on your site and found the following about Crazy Taxi. The following is not clear to me and hope you can give me some clues.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
(http://luna.spaceports.com/~selfboot/Tutorial_Index/1/2/3/4/5.htm)
"How to make Crazy Taxi -Katana selfboot?"
Insert non-selfbootable DC Game cd in your cdrom drive,
.....
Create a new 400mb dummy file name de dummy file at 0.0 and place it in c:\selfboot\data .....
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Sorry but I'm a Newbie. This line is really unclear to me! HOW do I create this dummy and what do you mean by "name the dummy file at 0.0" ? Can you specify?

Also, in the Gundam 0079 selfboot tutorial, I don't understand how to do the following. Pls provide more detailed instructions!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Serach
A6 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 43 44 30 30 31
change it to
5C 2E 00 00 01 00 00 00 43 44 30 30 31

* 5A2E=11700 *
* 5C2E=11702 *
which -msinfo numbers depend on your CDRecoder & Software

If you new to UtlraEdit32, You can download the Patch
Gundam0079 -msinfo 11700 Patch <== click to download
Gundam0079 -msinfo 11702 Patch <== click to download
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Which patch should I choose ?! And HOW do I get the -msinfo numbers that you've mentioned?! Sorry but this is very unclear to us Newbies and I hope you can explain it more clearly.
Thanks in advance!

selfboot toolkit already inculded a dummy utily name "da.exe"
u can click one of the "make xxxmb dummy.bat" to create the dummy files which locate in HD
C:\SELFBOOT\DUMMY\

1)click make 400mb dummy.bat,
then u'll see a 400mb dummy file name "0.0" appear in c:\selfboot\dummy

2) move the file "0.0" in hd c:\selfboot\data

You can use hexworkshop

Here's how get the msinfo number

1) cdrecord -dev=x,y,z-multi -audio audio.raw speed=4
*x,y,z is your cdrwriter scsi-bus-id num "

2)GetMsinfo -dev=x,y,z -msinfo
then u'll saw a num appear on dos screen like"011700" or "011702"

*x,y,z is your cdrwriter scsi-bus-id num "

if u still don't know how to get msinfo num,try 11700 patch first,if the game resert after s**a licensed try 11702 patch
