Video Stream Ripper

I don´t know if it´s interesting enough for the community here on fileforums.com to rip video streams from all kinds of websites. I don´t even know if that is legally, but I often want special videos from the news for home use, which is made impossible through the site.

In search of a program I found one which makes it easily possible for everybody to rip the video stream onto your hard disc. It´s called the

"WM Recorder 11"

So if you ever looked for a program making that possible here it is. It also rips audio streams. You can download a free demo version. I know there are many other programs ripping video streams, so here in this thread you can tell me.

And I'd like to add that there's a FREE, multi-platform solution for ripping streamed videos off web sites: MPlayer. Besides being capable of playing pretty much any video format off a file, without having to install tons of codecs (!!!), it can also play videos off the web and, also, dump streamed videos into files. The syntax is very simple:

mplayer -dumpstream -dumpfile <filename> <URL>
