how do i make a workable backup game

how do i make a backup of a game that i have the cd for. i have cdr win but it never works do i need specific settings on it

please help me as it is doing my head in they never copy

i hope you are not trying to copy an original dreamcast game to an image because you cannot do that,
you need to get an image off of the web like an iso
