Painkiller is so easy

I reinstalled Painkiller after some time of not playing it (i haven't finished yet) but restarted from the beginning in the nightmare mode and is still very easy you don't have to use the brain too much to finish this game only kill everything you see similar like the first Doom to DOS was.On the expansion (Battle OUt of Hell) they added some puzzles but the story, levels and monsters are more crappy than the original and there is no metal music. What do you think about this game?

All games with the Serious engine are brainless killing: Serious Sam: The First/Second Encounter; Painkiller; Painkiller: Battle out of Hell; and Will Rock. I played through the last third of Serious Sam: The Second Encounter in god mode, because I was damn bored but was still interested in the final boss. I couldn't stand the other games... I think the Serious engine would've deserved much better designed actual game implementations!

Please, don't mention DOOM in the same post; you can run away from or around enemies there, you can infuriate them against each other, chose the best weapon against each enemy and, in general, do strategic moves! DOOM is a smart game; none of the members of the "Serious Sam series" are.

Yes Serious Sam the Second Encounter was/is a brainless shoot fest but it was at least a fun shoot fest.
I used to do a few off the harder levels to get the reflexes and senses pumping a bit just to get ready to play something that needed a bit more skill and brains. It used to serve as a good warm up.

When i remember correctly:
Serious Sam First/Second Encounter = bad game, but good looking graphics.

Another easy game is Half Life 2. ithe story is good but s not very hard either. I haven't played Serious Sam 2 yet . The only FPS with good AI I have played at the moment is Farcry that one is more difficult and the player can die with a few shoots if it's not careful not like Hl2 that you receive a lot of impacts and youa are still alive and with a lot of health
