nForce2 ATA CONTROLLER cant disable...
This is my first post...
I have two starforce protected games: SCCT and POP:T2T I have 3 optical drives on secondary ide, a cd-rom a cd-rw and a dvd-rom... I can play SCCT by this way: 1) Normal install (using DT4) 2) Using sfn and disable: CD, node, sc Master, Sc slave 3) Mount 4) play!!! But it does not work with POP:T2T. So i unplug all my optical drives, reinstalled POP using image and DT4, mount and play.. It worked for POP and SCCT (i dont need to use sfn that way) But i've nforce2 chipset motherboard and nForce2 ATA CONTROLLER 2.6 installed.. I heard and seen some people can play all starforce games easily by disabling the nforce2 ATA controller on device manager...(ive also seen a screenshot of it) I want to use taha way but on device manager, nforce2 ATA controller selected, there is no disable button or something... i send a screenshot for it (my windows is turkish and im turkish sorry for bad english ) HERE SCREENSHOT:![]() Can somebody help me i dont want my drives unplugged

ATA gives it away does it not? lol
What I mean is he has 3 opticals, there is a chance he has his HD is IDE. But seeing as he has a scsi controller, there is a slim chance they are SATA. If its SATA he is laughing as its easy to bypass SF with SATA drives. |

Hmm SCSI could simply mean Daemon Tools or Alcohol drive, also ATA could simply be roms connected to it, i cant say from here, I think he has EIDE HDD and thats his problem he cant dissable the controler and starforce fooker or nightmare hangs my pc at times, i try to use in safe mode but its really a POS.

The SCSI part could refer to an onboard RAID or PCI RAID controller, they show up as SCSI devices too.
nForce chipsets are a problem, a friend has a similar setup of 1 HDD and 3 Optical drives all connected to IDE1 and IDE2 on the motherboard, Starforce Nightmare will not disable all the optical drives and always leaves 1 enabled so he can't run any Starforce games he has using a mini image or self made full image, and it can lock his PC up as well! So it's nForce chipsets that are the problem, not Starforce Nightmare or StarF*cker specifically. |

hey guys, i found something useful.. i said i have a cd-rom, a cd-rw and a dvd-rom.. i was playing starforce games by unplugging all that drives... i found that: Only dvd-rom must bu unplugged... unplugging cd-rom and cd-rw doesnt make any change... Now i have only dvd-rom unplugged (both ide and power cables unplugged, if i unplug only power cable, computer doesnt start and freeze after memory test, scanning for ide drives)
