1. Copy the contents from the three discs to any Temp directory you want. Make sure you start with the last disc and work towards the first so the Autorun.inf gets overwritten. Click yes to all when asked to overwrite files and directories.

2. Now using Orca modify the Gun (TM).msi file and target the Media component. Just copy the first cell in the DiskPrompt column, GUN CD 1, and overwrite the cells that say GUN CD 2 and 3. Also in the VolumeLabel column copy the first cell, GUNCD1, and overwrite the rest of the cells that say GUNCD2 and 3.

3. Save the .msi file overwriting the original.

4. Burn the directory to a blank DVD naming the disc, GUNCD1, and install the game. This is tested by me and works like a champ.

On a side note I have tried to rename the dvd anything but GUNCD1 even after changing the .msi package but it won't install even when editing the .msi to match. This is the only naming scheme I have found that works. Not all titles are like this but for some reason Gun is.

You could throw in the "nocd patch" too, when you burn it to DVD.

Well the DVD can be labelled anything, it all depends on what you edit the msi to!

pal...

the dvd cant b labeled anything,,, as the setup check s for the label...

and i mean not just the msi file but also the install shield file as well...

u just patch the msi,, and that will not override....it...

i also dound that the dvd can also b patched to "GUNDVD"

i found it in the installshield script file....

just patching it,,, so that it accepts all the labels......

thanx

@angel-TDw!
I assure you my DVD conversion has the label GUNDVD, and I have only edited the 'Gun (TM).msi'.
I have not edited the 'ISScript9.Msi' file, it still has 'DISK1' as the Volume Label under Media.
So I really dont understand why others have problems with labelling their conversion?
When I say the DVD can be labelled anything, I mean you should be able to label the DVD to whatever you edited the Volume Label column to in the 'Gun (TM).msi' file under 'Media'.
For me it was just a standard msi file edit?
