modifying VGA BOX

hey all
i read an article about how to modify ur vga box so it works with almost all the games on ur PC monitor,
it says something about finding all the connections to pin 7 and cut them so that it's always in VGA mode and any game that works on the TV only will not think that the VGA box is connect to the TV,
my friend got it to worjk too, but i don't know shit about eletrics,
can some1 tell me how to modify vga box?
