xodus xenium sp ice

i was wondering if anyone with knowledge should come forth and lend me their brains..lol. but anywayz, my friend bought a xodus xenium sp ice solderless modchip for his v1.6 xbox. after he installed it, it goes sraight to the software that is from the mod sense he didnt put no software as of yet into the hdd itself or anywhere for that mater. so when he brought to me...thinking that i can probably help him by just installing evox auto slayer v2.6 into the dvd drive hoping to make things good. it turned out that it doesnt recognize the dvd rom for some reason. everytime we rebooted his xbox it went straight to the embedded menu from the modchip. it didnt even do the xbox splash logo. the modchip is runnin on OS v2.0.1 i searched high and low trying to help him out and i all got where dead ends. i even didnt cook dinner for my family....lol just so that i can help him out with his problem. so i dont know if he needs to flash his chip first or just a xecuter, which is what i have in mine. any steps or some insight is welcome here

Ok here's the deal:
When you have installed the chip it will only have Xenium OS on it, but that will give you the FTP support you need for the moment.
Now give the xbox an IP through the Xenium OS menu, go to your PC and start a FTP session to the xbox. Make sure that you have an 1.6-1.6b compatible bios. I would recommend EvolutionX M8Plus 1.6 as it will support both 1.6 and 1.6b. Now FTP the bios .bin file to your xbox e:. Reboot the xbox. Go to the first option in the Xenium Ice menu and select "Add Item" and then add it to flash, select your bios file that will be on e:. Name it like EvoX or something. Now you will have a bios that can run unsigned code. For example SlaYers autoinstaller 2.6.

To make life a little easier go to settings in the Xenium Ice menu and make sure that Instant Boot is set to on. This will make sure that the current bios (EvoXM8Plus 1.6) will boot every time you press the power on button. Pressing the eject button to boot will get you to the Xenium Ice menu anyways so.

Note: you will NOT be able to update the Xenium Ice OS due to incompatibility with the Samsung memory timings (the built in RAM on xbox 1.6). So the current 2.01 will have to do. That will not be a problem anyway. There are some bugfixes, but nothing that will limit you in anyway when using it for backuped games and similar.

Note 2: if the xbox still won't recognize the disc with SlaYers make sure to burn it to a DVD-r and also add a dummy file to increase the size of the DVD. Thus making it easier to read for the xbox.

thanx kosmiq..the only thing that was holding me back was figuring out how in the heck to flash the xenium, but thanx to ur steps on flashing i was able to load up my copy of slayer onto his xbox and installed all the apps in no time. and now i think he owes me a cold one...lol
