Connect your XBOX to your PC

I got it worked out, thanks. Here is how I connected the XBOX to the PC for anyone else that might get stuck at this point. This is for an Xecuter 3 with the EvoX dashboard installed:

1- Using dvd2xbox copy the game of choice to your XBOX HDD.
2- Go buy a crossover cable from the local computer store for <$20. This lets you connect the XBOX directly to your PC LAN without a router or hub. Regular Cat 5e network cables do not work.
3- If your IP address on the EvoX dash is listed as 0.0.0.0 make sure the LAN connections are secure and go back to the Xecuter screen. Under settings enable the DHCP, this should assign you an IP on the EvoX screen (192.168.0.2 for example).
4- On the PC go to Network and Internet Connection in the Control Panel. Under Network Connections right click properties the connection. Change the TCP/IP Internet Protocol to use the following IP address. Enter a different IP than the XBOX (192.168.0.1 for example) and use the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0) and gateway (192.168.0.100).
5- Use FlashFXP to connect to the XBOX and get the game files. Click the lightning bolt and use Quick Connect. For the Server/URL type in the IP of the XBOX. Username=xbox and Password=xbox.
6- Drag over the game files to the PC.
7- Now that the game files are on your PC use Craxtion 4.0 to make an ISO image of the files.
8- Use DVD Decrypter to burn the ISO to DVD.
9- Don’t forget to go back to the properties on the PC and change the TCP/IP protocol to automatically assign an IP or you might not be able to log on the internet next time you want to go surfing.

Hope this is useful for some…..happy modding.
