God of War+GT4 Backup

Hi,

What program are plp using to backup these games. I use RNM for all dvd5 backups, yet not sure for dvd9.

I've heard dvd decrypter is a recommended one for dvd9 games like GT4, etc.

I have just got a liteon drive (external) sohw1653sx dual layer burner. However, i used decrypter to make a iso from the two originals, yet when i attempt to burn them back to dl disc, it gives me a message stating that the drive cannot be accessed due to being locked or something. I can Retry, ignore or cancel this message but i dont want to continue with the burn as i dont want a $6 coaster.

What does this mean and how can you stop it from showing?

Btw, i patched the isos with Toxic patcher as well

Its the Sonic DLA. I had the same problem. Disable it and retry.

Stick With Sonic Record now max..I just finished Backing up God of War and Tested out the Backup and Works like a Champ..

It may depend on the drive. My LG burner refuses to burn DL games with Sonic DLA enabled.

You know lately, I'm running little slow..Isn't Sonic DLA a Program?
I have Sonic RNM 7.22 program on Disc and I just install that one and nothing else..

Yeah, Sonic DLA (Drive Letter Access) is a software that allows you to drag and drop files to a rewritable disc turning it into a virtual hard-drive. I think Adaptec had a software simular to this called Direct CD back in the day. Sometimes they clash with certain media and software.

heres where im @: i got the patch'd hdl to boot finally, its a pain in the ass and takes like 5-10 tries everytime, which i dont understand cuz EVERYOTHER disc i have cd or dvd boots fine. but any rate, the patch'd hdl boots, but gt4 hangs after the scea presents: screen just like w/ the old hdl. i used decryptor to make the gt4 iso (4.94gb) and ftp'd it to the hdd. did i miss something? after decrypt made the iso, it also created another file:gt4.mds--whats that? did i have to use that for something? please help this is getting to be a big headache and im sooo close. thanx

The mds is just like a cue file and not needed. I used the exact procedure I mentioned to boot my Retail unpatched, untouched GT4 image. Did you use Winhiip to upload? If you used anything else I cant say if itll work or not.

Got my GT4 to work on my HDD using winhiip, 0.6d HDL patch, dvddecrypter and DLPatcher. For some reason I can't seem to get Metal Gear Solid substance to work, anyone tried it? And the 0.6d HDL that I installed onto my MC with Crystal Chip, the mode isn't simple like before, it hav a whole bunch of options instead of the mode 1, 2, 3 now. Any ideas?

so heres what i did:
1) gave up on that damn exploit thing- i only wanted it to boot that damn toxic hdl anyhow.
2) took a cd that i KNOW will boot every time--my execftp disc.
made an img of THAT disc, opened it w/ winiso,changed the last line in the sysem.cnf file from
"execftp.elf" --to--> "hdlfpp.elf", deleted the execftp.elf outta the img and inserted hdlfpp.elf into the img. left the dat there (which has all my ip info), left the 10mb dummy, used decryptor to create bin/cue. burnt it (to the same media ive been using all along and made multiple coasters trying to just burn the toxichdl.iso) it boots every single damn time!!--everytime, no problems @ all. gt4 palys like a champ--also no problems. PISS ON the exploit for yet another couple-a-months
