double side or dual layered

is there a difference between doble sided and dual layered? which one can b used to record ps2 games larger than 4.37 gigs,thnx in advance.

Double Sided DVDR = 4.37gig of data per side (top or bottom) of disc.

Dual Layered DVDR = 4.37gig of data on each layer of disc (same side) resulting on 8.xx data on bottom of 1 disc.
