Loosing DVD files

I am using anydvd (v4.5.7.2) and clonedvd2(v2.7.5.1). I have been backing up my dvd's to a hard drive. After a short time, a week let's say, if I go back to watch the movie (from the HD) either it's gone or only partly there. It doesn't seem to coralte with the use or lack of use of either of these apps.
SO, unfortunately for me, I'm thinking it's the HD. Rather than something with the apps. Does anyone have an opinion on this. Or had similar issues.

Got the same setup as you and I dont have this problem. I would also consider looking into some antivirus programs. Like AVG from www.grisoft.com
