Half-life2 NoCd
Is there a NoCd fix that works for this game and is there a way to get rid of that irritating Steam thing?

why would you ask this? Havent you read the HL2 thread? You no longer need a CD to play the game and no there is no way around the Steam activation! If you do in fact own the original disc you only have to activate it once! Then just either turn off you modem, disable it or just unplug it! Then you can play in offline mode without ever having to worry about Steam.
