I remember there being the Crystal modchip, Infinity, New "Messiah" team chip (Forgot what the name was.....
 ). I forgot if there are any more coming out.... perhaps a DMS? Anyway, I don't believe there will be HDD support for the PSTwo. USB ports are too slow to stream games. Also too many issues right now with the first batch of PSTwos, I've heard some "blow up" or the laser fries and such. AFAIK..

Yeah the crystal chip is one, the DMS4 supports V12, as does the superior Matrix Infinity. The old Messiah teams chip is called the Ghost 2.
 Out of all these, I'd have the Infinity like a shot

Do you know who mods a PSTwo as I see that Norcal Mods don't yet. Would you advise waiting a bit for the laser problem to be fixed first before getting it sent out to be modded? Thanks!

foundmy.com is a reputable installer.
Although a lot of the "reputable" installers are holding off on continuing the mods for the v12, until an absolute laser fix is found. I say reputable installers, b/c not only are they actually reputable, but I'd think that an installer who would rather wait till a problem is fixed to install a modchip is quite good and I'd consider to be a somewhat professional. (You know, caring for the client more so than the money ) Until an absolute fix is found, I'd hold off on modding the PSTwo... That's my thoughts
