Silent Hill 4 Freezes

hey
i currently have a sony vaio notebook with a radeonIGP 345M 64MB video card. for some reason my computer cant play silent hill 4. some people suggested that i shud use 3d analyzer. so i tried it and got all excited because it actually started up. then i clicked on the "new game" option and watched the opening video. however when they are done and the game is suppose to start, my screen turns white and wont do anything. if i press backspace, it will bring up the options menu as its suppose to where i can choose "exit to title" etc. but the game wont start. any suggestions on what i can do? thanks

And there is the problem.
Notebook graphic drivers aren't updated very often.

The one for my notebook (Targa Visionary XP-210 with ATi 9600 mobile) is from 01-09-2003 !!! The way using DH MobilityModder Tool V2.0b to make the normal Catalyst Driver installable on mobile GPU don't really work, because of more and more crashs.

cant find drivers

i have emailed ati for drivers, however i dont believe that that is my problem since i can get past the menu screen and see the opening videos. could my problem be with securom? wouldnt it keep it from working at all if it was, and not just freeze up when i try to play the game? futhermore i am still able to acess the options menu even after the game freezes on a white screen, i just cant get to the actual game
please help me someone!!!!!!!!
