Post Quick Q about laser replacement!

Hey guys, I have a quick question!

I have a v5/6 ps2 (not too sure) and my laser is a KHS-400C type.

If it ever decided to die on me, do I have to replace it w/ the SAME type, or can I buy a V7 laser (not sure what name it is, anyone know?) and just put the V7 laser into my V5/6 PS2?

Thanks!

Just buy a v7 laser and place it on the tracks

Yeah, V7's have the same laser as your V5 unless they have the open face sanyo lasers, but other wise the V7's also use the KHS-400C lasers.
