DC games as large as 760mb being burnt with DJ possible?

I have a .cdi file that is approximately 760mb in size. The directions that came with it say to burn it onto an 80 minutes CD... According to the size I don't believe it will fit, could the file say its size as 760mb, but when it is burnt with DJ3.x does it become smaller in size?

First of all i dont think you should use dj3x use version 2.0 and to burn a game that is bigger thatn you expected and when the NFO says it should be on a 80 mins, i think i heard somewhere that you should turn on the overbun option in DJ and then it shouldent be a problem. Iam not sure at all i havent tried this my self... Well i hope it was worth something....

Take care

Dearest regards

First thing DJ3 works for burning the latest selfbooting games. I know that because I use it.
From the about 60 games that I burned:
Shenmue from Kalisto, Dave Mirra BMX, RE3: Nemesis, Shenmue Passport, CapcomVS SNK from Echelon, Jet Grind Radio are the ones that were done with DJ3.
Secondly try to get the SFV file that comes with some releases. This file got some infos on how big each file is. Before unraring always make a test in WINRAR to see if there's corrupted files. Check the NFO for the game to see if there's no special indications. And when you did all that do a test/simulation before burning for real. After about 8 to 10 coasters believe me you'll start to test each game that you download.

sometimes the image file may say it is larger than it really is.

i recently made a pantera best of cd, it ran 72 minutes. when i made an image before i burned it, it came out to be 750MB, but i was still able to fit it on a 80 min cd. it probably would have fit a 74 min, but i did not know that it was 72 min. at the time.

i also have the matrix vcd, which i wanted to make a dc-vcd on a 74 min disk. the movie file i need to extract says it is 720MB, which does not make sense, because how did it fit onto a 74 min. disk.

this is my opinion and yours may vary.

cd images almost always are somewhat bigger than the cd cause it needs to hold track info and extra info to burn the iso properly

also you should probably always just follow the directions in the nfo cause if they released it they should know how to burn it
