5.1 and stereo together!
hi
I have a 5.1 system (from creative) on my pc and I got a nice stereo system (JVC) in my room. A dream of mine: I want to get them working together any ideas??

well, I hooked my xbox into the AUX in located on the sub, but it only output sterio. I've looked into many ways to fit my xbox in 5.1, but haven't found one. Your only chance would be to buy some kind of external box, but I have no idea if there is one.

yeah the aux thing won't work (line in and line out so I can play music on my stereo system and sound comes outta 5.1 system or I can play music on my pc and the sound will come outta the stereo system), but I found no way to interlink em.

maybe u're right Luciel such a audigy card would cost me 66-70 €
(upto 8 channels) and my current card is useless then *snif* or I heard of cables which split the output sound (example of such a cable: my_sound_blaster_output_for_front_speakers------then_two========one_of_them_to_sub_and_one_to_aux_ from_stereo_system I'll ask in shop if I have time or call them they should help me (now I know what to ask for and I'll ask if the sound quality is worse if I split(if possible) @Quall999: maybe I'm totally wrong, but isn't aux only able to transfer stereo?  YEEHAAAA! I love music soo much and now even more.I went to the electronic shop today and they gave me two things... description: -I have a soundblaster live! (3 channels go off it: frontspeakers, rearspeakers, subwoofer) -all cables are klinke types so they gave me an adapter which splits the frontspeakers channel. I put this adapter in my soundblaster for frontsp. then it splits... one ending goes to the subwoofer as before -then I got another cable klinke to cinch (for my aux ) I put this in the other ending and the 2 chinch things in my stereo system......
