Cyberhome DVD
I'm using a Cyberhome DVD 300 player, Fuji (ritek) media and Clone DVD 2. The DVD plays original disks fine, but about halfway or 3/4 through my backup disks, crashes. I have two Cyberhomes with the same problem. If the media/program or machine is not compatible, why would it play at all (my Samsung won't play Maxell)? My Samsung DVD, computer and laptop play the backup disks fine and SOMETIMES the Cyberhome plays the backup all the way through. Any suggestions or diagnostics? Yes, I know the Cyberhome is not a technological breakthrough. These are totally clean disks.
Thanks. Last edited by gobarryf; 06-08-2004 at 11:57. |

If it plays sometimes maybe it is a laser issue. Have you tried cleaning it. If thats not the prob as you did mention you have 2 and it does it on both maybe its just a compatability issue. If it plays at all, I would suspect it might be a cheap laser and just cant read well. You said you use ritek media which is the best but are you using -r or +r? You could try both and see if that helps any. Try using Ridata dvd-r G03's or G04's.

Re cyberhome
According to DVD decrypter, I'm using Ritek GO3 (under the Fugi brand name). Using DVD-r. Can't understand why it works sometimes and not others. It has failed and the played on the same disk at different times. Thanks.

My sister has the same brand DVD player. And i have a Poinner. I copy movies to cheap DVD-R(27cents each). And they all play fine on my player. But not so good on hers. So if i am at work....she just goes in my room to watch the movies.
Never buy a DVD player for under $50. |
