Question Which HD to put in?

Hi guys

Would like to know which HD to put in my XboX.

I have read on the net that its best to have an HD that can be locked if u r going to play one line..

And whats the best Software to back up my games.

I personally use seagate barracuda hard drives but i don't think it really matters that much, just personal preference really. I'm pretty sure most hard drives will be lockable. You will need to lock your hard drive so that you can disable your mod chip to play on live. Although you could just use xbconnect instead of live as that will allow you to play without disabling your chip.

I personally use isocraxtion to make an iso of my games then alcohol 120% to burn. Again, this is personal preference (I think AXMichigan prefers the data burn method but i'm not too sure ) and if you search this forum (sticky's first) you will find tutorials on different methods people use.

I use ritek go4 dvd-r media for all my backups aswell.

i like maxtor
cheaper than alot others.. and still very dependable
for me at least
wd is sooo not
size-wise
im an hdd junky... i have a 250 gig and have 400 megs left
i suggest a 250 cuz its the biggest size u can have with one partition

look at the sticky, look for dude's
its infallible
and uhh
chip-wise
i suggest x2 lite if u can solder
and xbit if u cant
do u know the version of ur box?

so far ive moddded xboxes with:
2 Matrixes
3 Xbits

My xbox!:
-250 gig
-XBIT
-4981.06 x2
-orange led for light, matching beautifully with the orange x in the splash screen
-Component cable

my problem...solved?!:
-one of my friends says he can get about 450 files off it!... and now i havent seen him for about 4 months..and ive written him like 11 emails.. WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! :mad:
