Command & Conqueor Generals

I made a back up copy of the above and used Clone CD along with the instructions from game world. I went to check my back up and it installed fine no problems. For some reason it will not play in my laptop (ACER) and asks me to eject and reinsert the CD. Any one can help??
In my desktop - no problems?
