I'm having trouble booting a backup Gameshark V.4 with a PS2 V7 modded with a Magic V. The problem is the Gameshark needs the PS2 to be booted in PSX mode, which means when it asks me to insert the game CD (which is also a backup) I have to hit "reset" to get the PS2 back into PS2 mode. This causes the codes to be erased. Also, my Gameshark does not detect my memory card. Any suggestions?

That's why I like the Matrix Infinity- it detects what kind of media you put in. No boot methods, no worries. I think you'll just have to live without cheats, or you could load up the original, apply cheats, save, and then boot the backup and load the save. Or just download a save game with the cheats.
