I'm having trouble playing large (700MB+) CD based games on my PS2.
I start with a bin/cue file from a backup game. The file size is usually between 700 to 750MB. I use NERO to burn the cue file onto the CD. The burn is successful. I put the game into my PS2 and it never boots up. The smaller bin/cue files work....but the ones that are over 700MB don't work. I know a CD only holds 700MB, but NERO allows me to burn the bigger files onto the CD. I tried to use a DVD and NERO told me that I can't use that medium to burn that file...I must use a CD-R. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong....any help would be appreciated. Thanks. BTW...Im using swap magic 3.0 |

I suspect these are downloaded dvd rips?? All PSX/PS2 CD games will fit onto a 650mb cd-r. Talk of downloaded games will get you banned!!EDITIf i made a mistake i do apologise but i dont think i did. I agree a bin file can have a fake TOC but not 750mb.....We await your reply.

Hold on, here.
In most cases if you back up your ps2 games to cue/bin they will sometimes look larger than they really are. This is because of all the info that a .bin actually holds. Most of it is related to the program that made it. The rest is the actual image of the disc. Thats why you cant use the .bin to comment on the size of a cd game. By the way, just for my curiousity, what program did you use to make these .cue and .bin files? Attention, no one other than wv_brian reply to this thread, as Im making sure this guy is not a pirate. That is only until after he answers my question.
