What BIOS to use
I am researching getting a mod chip when it is installed how do i decide what BIOS to use?

i suggest the x2 4981.06

so far ive moddded xboxes with:
2 Matrixes
3 Xbits

My xbox!:
-250 gig
-XBIT
-4981.06 x2
-orange led for light, matching beautifully with the orange x in the splash screen
-Component cable

my problem...solved?!:
-one of my friends says he can get about 450 files off it!... and now i havent seen him for about 4 months..and ive written him like 11 emails.. WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! :mad:

then when buying a mod-chip why do i need to worry about different BIOS sizes if you pretty much only use 1 or 2 and can just flash them

well, it is impossible to flash a 1mb bios on a 256 flash rom, for cheapmod based chips. And if you want 2 bios on a standard 1mb chip, they would each have to be 512k.

the xbit can have any size includin 2 mb (1mb, 512kb, and 256kb as well)

Will that bios work with any modchip.... I have a Matrix chip so will x2 4981.06 work..
