Hey all,

I just got as a gift from Taiwan a 10-pack "Melody Sigma Azo Dye DVD-R" and I was wondering if any1 tried those and how good quality it is and is it reliable for PS2s? Thanx

Nino

Try ADVDInfo to tell you more about dye manufacturer etc...

Never heard of them before, but the only way to tell how good they are is to burn a game to one of them...

I will try later on and see.

On another subject, are DVD-RW or DVD+RW playable on PS2s? If yes, which is better to use from those two and why? And the same question goes for CD-RW and CD+RW.

thanx

The answer is neither. DVD's and CD's work on reflectivity. The reflectivity of a -rw/+rw is a lot less thatn with a dvd-r/+r and therefore will strain yr ps2 laser to the limits thus killing yr laser and killing yr ps2/bank balance. You might find that both cdrw and dvd-rw/+rw will work on yr ps2 but not recommended.

Regards
