dms3 hdd explorer

i recently went to dms3.com to download the new bios for my chip and saw that they have already for download the dms3 hdd explorer. it just made me wonder why would they have it ready for download if the ps2 hdd is not due to be ready for customers till a few months from now? or does this mean we can buy an ordinary hdd and have someone install it for us? im just curious thats all

You can just about put any HDD in you want.
You need the ps2 network adaptor to fit the HDD to ya ps2.
