Do you have a modchip installed? How long on average does it take for your PS2 to overheat? Also is your PS2 placed in an area where there is plenty of room for air to pass through?

I mean is your ps2 in a cramped area? Are you sure your fan is indeed working? What chip do you have in your ps2?

Hmm try moving your ps2 a little futher away from your tv. In a way to where its alone and has plenty of room around it for breathing.

I hope this solves it. Other than that I cant really say without actually looking at it.

I have fix the problem now, and my PS2 is working great now,
the problems was fixed by moving the PS2 away from my TV set and on to the floor, but i think the room temp was the main offender. So thanks to everyone for there input.

Another thing, I just reread your post and noticed you moved it to the floor. Make sure your ps2 isnt on the carpet. You could get a static charge sent to it on accident or trip on it. I suggest somewhere out of the way but still with plenty of breathing room.
