MP3 playback on NAPA22 portable mp3 player
Has anybody used one of these before. All Files I transfer across work fine on the P.C but when played back on PA22 the music is fine but the vocals are hardly audible ?
Any help greatly appreciated |

I havent tried it myself but I have a question for you.
Do you know the bitrate of your mp3's? Tyler!

I have tried using 128 96 & 64 with no change in effect. I have also tried using MP3 format and WMA format with no difference again. I am ripping using music match free version as well as using a Microsoft media player

I personally dont like 128 and consider it low grade. I use 196 (if I remember the exact number correctly) because thats where cd quality starts. Try that and hopefully that helps.
Also do you have any settings for right, left, front, and back? Maybe those aren't set properly. Tyler!

Neither of the 2 rippers I have offer that high a bitrate, nor can I see any front/back, or left/right options.
Thanks anyway |

I personally use Ez Cd and DVD Creator by Roxio for ripping my music. It allows for better bitrate.

Thanks I will experiment and see what happens.
I have spoken to the support desk and they tell me it must just be a bad rip as there is no adjustment possible on the player. But as I am doing the rip at different bitrates and formats and with different rippers, and all are playing fine on the PC, I am starting to find this hard to believe. I suspect I have a faulty player. My next step is to get them to send me a file that works O.K on what they have or send it back for them to test. Nothing else makes any sense. Thanks for your suggestions and I will keep you informed |

I must tell you, that even very low bitrate mp3's will sound good on a pc. Im not sure why but they just do. I learned that early on. When burned to cd or used in anything else other than a pc thats where the bitrate counts.
Try finding a program thats avaliable to you thatll let you rip to at least 196 bitrate. Tyler!
