Question DVD X Copy Platinum

I recently got DVD X Copy Platinum and I was just wondering, in the "Settings" Menu (Advanced Mode) there is a option for "Force DVD-Rom Booktype" it says "If your DVD Player does not fully support DVD+R(W) disks, this will allow DVD X Copy Platinum to try and force the DVD to identify itself as a "DVD-Rom" instead of a DVD+R(W). Does this work? I have a Denon DVD Player (It kicks butt) except it does NOT support DVD+R(W) disks,
I was just wondering the "Force DVD-Rom booktype" option works or not.

I have a Sony +RW 2.4x drive (DRU110A)
and am using Memorex DVD+RW disks.

SORRY if I am posting this in the wrong section.

It must work for some for the option to be there. The only way to see if it works for you is to try it.

I attempted to burn 2 Fast 2 Furious (I own it and wanted to burn it so my little bro would not ruin the original) and all of the options that are NOT checked, when you click on them, it checks them for you, well, I clicked the box for "Force DVD-Rom type" and it wouldn't check it! does anyone know how to solve this? I tried to get the newest patch and it would not let me download it, I called 321 Studios and redid my Name/Password to get into the download section and I still could not download the patch, if someone knows were I can get the patch (Version 3.2.1) then please let me know.

Patch? There are no patches. There are new versions released though. Is that what you mean? You can download the 3.2.1 full install here

This is strange, I installed the new version and it still does not work, I am going to reboot and see if it works. My DVD burner is a Sony (DRU110A) is this my problem? Can my burner not use the "Force DVD-Rom booktype" option?
I will reply again when after I reboot and see if it works.

Thats strange, I figured that sense the option was there then it was my burner or something.

Please post when it becomes available. Thanx for that link, that helped me a LOT.
