according to many of the previous threads and posts in these forums, both are mentioned as very reliable, and work equally as well.
the ritek brand is the most comonly mentioned brand by most of the gamers however, but what ever works for ya is all good.
i recommend either one but you are welcome to try others and share your results with us too.
we always like to hear what is working for other gamers.

Ritek is superb. Verbatim is also good but spendy when you compare to Ritek.

Now I know ritek is very good media.
Datasafe works good too.

My question is if Infodisc is any good.
Found it at a website here in sweden.

Princo has worked for me so far... don't know if it is just that my laser is good or it just works.

Ok we get these questions all the time, whenever a new cheap-ass disc comes out. If anyone wonders if so-and-so disc is good your basically gonna have to find out yourself. Most people here use Ritek because it has been tested and deemed great.

If anyone gets anything cheaper, its on you. No crying about it not working, on these forums.

I think we should have a "Renowned +/- R media" (or something along that line) sticky, i mean, how many times does that sort of question get asked here!!

what say you Tyler?

Not that bad of an idea. Ill think up a way to do it without making the first page of the ps2 forums a giant sticky.

Basically anyone who has got a backup to work will say that their dvd media is best. Unfortunately with a new ps2 u can get most media to work on most games but the problem is how much strain u r puttin ur laser under in reading cheap dvd's an also how long it will do it before it will give up the ghost.

This is sumfing that people don't appreciate wen they come out wiv statements like 'Well I use bulkpaq an don't get any problems". wot they mean is they've got ten backups that work fine using bulkpaq an also in 6 months time their ps2 won't read any backups at all.

Go for the tried an tested recommended every time. These will always be DVD-R and will always be Ritek Dye based dvd-r e.g Ritek,Traxdata,DVDMaster and a few other cheaper makes.

Personally I go for Traxdata every time. I Have a version 5 that has been runnin traxdata backups for 1.5 yrs without any problems at all.

Regards

It's funny that Traxdata are making good DVD-R media cuz way back in the early CD-R PSX days traxdata CD-R's were among the worst, I found only 2 brands that would not read at all in PSX's and they were one. I'm just getting into DVD-R's now, forget reading on my PS2, looks like it's going to be hard to find DVD-R media that reads on my crappy Aopen PC drive. This is bloody inconvenient to find out right at the moment. I wonder if there's any Pots I can adjust in this Aopen POS !?
