Question burn only a .bin?

My friend sent me a rar file with a copy of a program he's been making, and wanted me to have a look, but he only appears to have sent me a .bin file, he's gone off to czechoslovakia for a week, and so I'm stuck.

Of what I vaguely know of CD backups, the actual data is stored in the .bin, so is there any chance he hasn't made a mistake in not sending me the .cue file and I can burn it somehow, or am I going to have to wait for him to get back?

Thanks in advance

Jeb

mmmh, I am smelling a warez question here, but I cannot proof it..., so

Normally the cue sheet stores information about track-length ans stuff....
If you don't have it....you can try to burn with standard options, or as I don't think your mate put a copy protection on his disc ( ) you could use a tool like CDMage or Isobuster to extract the bin's content to your hd...

I could crush him like an ant. But it would be too easy. No, revenge is a dish best served cold. I'll bide my time until.... Oh, what the hell. I'll just crush him like an ant.

thanks for that, it won't have copy protection, its just a beta version of a game he's been making these last few months, and it's working quite well as of the last time i played.

Its a sports management 'sim' based along the lines of a speedball type game, with manga-esque cartoon graphics. Eventually he hopes to get it to be an MMO game, but i don't think he's got much chance of that all in all... If anyone cares, I'll post it on the net if he gives it the ok?

Red face Cue Source

Just copy the text below and save as .cue then replace filename.bin with your file.
The link above this post is basically the same thing.

FILE "filename.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
