A06 or A05
which one. i know i can get the A06 for around $300 (australian currency) but i f i could get the A05 for less than $250 should i go for that instead? i would rather have quality over price but i dont know which one has better writing quality. My main use for it will be to burn Ps2 games. thanks

If money is a factor get the A05. The A06 only adds the ability to burn to +r/+rw.

If i were you, i would consider the 106 - an oem of the A06. price as of 4/11/2003 is only $285 AUD.

Liteon LDW411S is suppose to be good as it can write different modes of cdrw, however there's been report that it has tons of problems with different media...This has been true for some, but others have no problem with it.
I'm also considering between the liteon, pioneer and LG. however I've decided to go for the pioneer as it's on special this week thus making it cheaper then the liteon. Pioneer has been a Pioneer for DVD writing..thus their products might be better. Then again, I'm sure the rest will catch up very soon. |

i own 105 and 106 both work perfectly
main advantage to the 106 is its ability to read scratched disk pioneer claims it makes a better burn, but never had a problem with a 105 burned disked either will do
