007 and mech hack
with the 007 AUF and mech assault exploit.. can u upgrade the original xbox hdd to a bigger one?

~WoMeNlOvEr ... so far ive moddded xboxes with: 2 Matrixes 3 Xbits My xbox!: -250 gig -XBIT -4981.06 x2 -orange led for light, matching beautifully with the orange x in the splash screen -Component cable my problem...solved?!: -one of my friends says he can get about 450 files off it!... and now i havent seen him for about 4 months..and ive written him like 11 emails.. im thinking no..
because ud be hacking the hdd and not the motherboard or somethin itself so if u take the hdd out.. itd be a normal xbox with the hdd so i suppose not i just wanna verify

i believe you can, but u need to a modded xbox as well..if im right u click back up the unmodded box, ransfer over the c and e drive, put a brand new hd in the modded xbox, format it via evox using the hd info from the unmodded xbox, transfer back the c and e drive, install that drive in the unmodded one and ta da

but thats basically saying u can put an evox formatted hdd in an unmodded box and itll work? that makes no sense...

read t slower mate....u format the hd in the modded xbox, transfer back the data that was on the unmodded xbox and then put that hd back into the unmodded xbox, n theory it should work because all of the files needed to load it will be there

yea all the files should be in there..
but an unmodded xbox doesnt allow a different hdd to be used so if u replace the hdd... i dunno how u would be able to used the new hdd with the ms bios not overrided.. yea i got that it has all the necessary files but its like somethin to do with the eeprom and such

It`s true what you say.the system is not only protected for copies but also the HD. When the xbox starts it first checks the hardware. When the hardware is rorrect it`s loads the boot menu fram de HD. So replacing the HD is not possible unless you chanche the bios.

It IS indeed possible. You need the 007/ Mechassult exploit on a Memory card.
You also need "Pheonix Bios Loader", which works with the exploit. It loads hacked bios off the HDD. Also, you should have "Slayers Auto Install". It will do everything, including reformat. Lemme find a tutorial. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.p...T&f=45&t=76808 um, this is a little different than I thought. I was thinking of a hotswap type thing. Make sure the drive you have is lockable too.

so it is possible yea i found that same xbox-scene tutorial from the tutorials obiovusly.. guess where? hehe so its the memory card thing.... quall or anyone else see if u can find an actual tutorial on how to do so... dont neglect this post but im gonna have another one with probably the same thing.. but i have a different question
