can u leave a dvd open for later burns ?

dose any body know if u can leave a dvd-r open aftr i burn on it so i could add more on it later i know it works for cd-rs

You cant do it. It doesnt work like it would on a cdr.

hmm i wonder why this is i guess i will have to leave my mp3s on my hd till i get close to 4.3 gigs then burn it on the dvd
