Restaurant Empire...2 Protections?????
Heya guys!
I downloaded the 1.21(Asia)patch for the game Restaurant Empire, since I have the Asian version.I needed a backup CD.I tried Alcohol 120%.No luck. I learnt that it has Starforce 3 protection.Then I donloaded cdkiller's ProtectionID scanner.Cool!!! It scans re.exe in the patch to be of.... hold your breath... Securom 4.84.81.005!!!  The Unsecurom program refuses any acknowledgement of Securom protection!?!?The protect.dll, found in the Game folder file was scanned to have the Starforce, as mentioned by ProtectionID Scanner.(Hmmm...I wonder from where this file came??) An interesting find....But I still don't have its working backup.(None of the fixes ever released work) Any comments?  [And I hate piracy]

the unsecurom tool is very old (released in 1999 i think) and it won´t work with newer versions.
the german / english exe of the game is starforce 3 protected. asian exe was securom, like it was shown in my scanner. but there are only german / english cracks available. nothing for the asia patch.

Thanks for that FAST reply.
Anyway, I agree the exe is securom protected.But what about the file "protect.dll" that is in my Game Folder? The Scanner says "Starforce Found!" when I scan this dll.Crazy as it seems, it is driving ME very crazy, 'cuz I can't make ANY fix or crack to work. Also, can you tell me any recent tool to unwrap that Securom new version? If nothing helps, I hafta play with the original CD, which is too dear to me to be scratched.(sigh...)

u have to play with the original cd.
i really doubt a crack will be made for this game version.

You ar absolutely right.
The Securom 'New' version, as mentioned in the www.*************.com, has versions starting from 4.x, which seems to be employed in the Asian version.I'm not sure, though... It uses a very unique way for protection, including multiple file checks (exe and dll), and possibly in game checks.  As such, there is no crack for it, and will take time to release any fixed exes.I still have some patience left... This protection thingy is getting more and more weird. And Thanks for your BIG help.
