movie factory 2?

I am trying to burn .AVI files to DVD-R, and this program isn't co-operating. Idownloaded everything that the ulead site had to offer and it still did not work. I end up getting crappy quality and out of sync audio( that's if the program will even accept my .AVI file!). What is all the converting going on right before the actual burning? It takes way to long(8 hours) , and there has to be a better way. I even tried to load an .AVI file that I converted to MPEG2 first, and it still wants to convert it to who knows what before it will burn. Before you tell me, I've been to the VCDHELP site and I found out alot of useful info, but still can't get a good disc burned. I have all of the following programs; WinMPG Plus, TMPGEncPlus, TMPGEnc DVD Author, VirtualDub, MF2, RecordnowMaxv4.5, Sonic MyDVD, Showbiz.(I also have the tooLAME audio encoder plugin for TMPGE to take care of the sync issues.) I have Nero 6 also. You would think that I would be able to get something right with all of these programs? HA! Am I expecting too much or no matter what I do am I going to have to keep converting files all the time? My computer is only a 1.2g, but I have a new 40gb harddrive with plenty of room(7200rpm). Should it take all day to make a DVD_R? Finally, is there a way to get the VIDEO_TS folder from an .AVI movie? This seems to be the easiest way to burn a disc. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've heard that roxio and nero don't play well together, is it true? Are you saying roxio is better than nero for this, or because it's the only thing I haven't tried yet?

I personally only care to use Nero for burning cds. Roxio Easy CD/DVD creator comes highly recommended from my mod buddy BG. I have a 2ghz cpu and it took me probably about 2 hours to burn the Matix Reloaded with Ulead. I am getting Roxio Easy CD/DVD creator now and will give it a try myself.

I have also had the same problems with Ulead dvd movie factory 2.

There doesnt seem to be much help on the official Ulead site with sync problems, but there are some good tutorials here if you have got the time and brain capacity to work out what it all means lol
