Was it something I said!?! HD Locking

Okay, I'm starting to get miffed.
Decided to upgrade the HD in the ol' box. Got myself a new Maxtor 120GB, backed-up old disk, installed, formatted & loaded evox no problem.
But for love nor money can I lock the hard disk and it work back in the 'box.

I run to the letter the locking tutorial at xbox-scene. The drive, according to atapwd.exe locks, but once put back in the xbox, it doesn't boot. Error 06.

Anyone, any ideas?
