do you have your ps2 modded
if so what chip?
some new games splinter cell / tomb raider angel of darkness
don't work too well with older chips
as for backing up clone cd or alcohol 120% are the best for cd
based games and recoard now for dvd games if you use these you will have no probs just make a image file and then burn. don't copy
on the fiy [quick copy]

i have a ps2 with dms3 chip
the game is winning 11 7
i just can't back it up
