Which CD protection scanner to get?
I don't have any experience with those.
I usually find out what protection is being used for a game through a website, but when it comes to newly released games - it takes a while for the info to get there! So, what should I use? Alcoholer? ClonyX (or whatever the name of it is)? Which one detects protections best? I heard Alcoholer also sets settings for Alcohol 120% depending on the protection - is this true? Suggestions? I use Alcohol 120% and BlindWrite as burning utilities. |

OK, ClonyXXL (latest 2.0.1.5) cannot even detect SafeDisk on Morrowind: Tribunal expansion CD. The REAL CD.
Its quite old. Nither DVD-ROM, no my Litey can detect protections properly with ClonyXXL. |

That's odd - ClonyX 2.0.1.5 can identify my 'Morrowind Tribunal' CD (Safedisk 2.7)

You can always use cdkiller's Protection ID to scan the main exe.

Well, I use no-cd cracks for all of my games!
I think the problem is that dark ASPI layer which now has gone BAD! I got 2 files of one version and 2 of another version, and no matter how I try to update - it won't do it! |
