Universal Patcher
Just a question. It has been awhile since I have copied any games with my SCH10000 with version 1.00 drivers disc. I used to use the universal patcher and never had a problem. Does anyone know whether or not I can still use this? I think I probably can but was just curious if anyone knew for sure. Also, does anyone know whether DVD Region X will work with a modded JAP system?

Yes - the Universal Patcher is necessary to play backup games with the Modchip.com solution based on the Utility Disk.
DVD Region X needs a modchip that works to it - NEO2.x, for example (i'm not sure about the later versios of modchip.com with Region X). You will need the Jap version of this (maybe from Lik Sang in Hong Kong). |

Thanks for all of your help. To answer your question. I have never had a problem backing up anything and needed no special patches for EA. I am saying never HAD because I haven't done any copies for awhile. I never did GT3 because it was a DVD game. I have heard the only way to copy DVD is to rip the game. However, I did just receive some software that supposedly will allow you to copy DVDs onto CDRWs. I'll believe it when I see it.
