UT2003 - an oldie but still giving me jip
I know that with the latest patch you no longer need the cd but I would still like to make a copy of the cds which I can install from.
I don't have nero but wheteher using CloneCD or Roxio cd creator I keep getting cd read errors while installing from any copies I make. I've tried using the settings for secureRom new suggested by ClonyXXL but this doesn't help. The Orig disks install ok. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated - could it be my writer ( a memorex 24MAXX). Thanks in advance, non-fic |

Try changing the READ speed in the clonecd profiles, preferably to 4x or lower. This will greatly reduce the chances of read errors. Also, google for CDMage, this is a great little util to check images for errors before you write them on cdrs.

If it still wont work....
1. make a TEMP dir on your hd 2. make three dirs in this temp-dir, each one with the name of one of the cds 3. copy all contents of the cds the their dir 4. put the latest patch in a "Patch"-dir in the dir of CD1 5. burn the stuff using the same cd label like the originals 6. install the game from your backups 7. after installation / before start playing - install the patch from cd1
