So just to clarify for me once and fro all
Can all dremcasts play burnt games with out a mod chip and if so is nero what needs to be used to burn them with Thanx crash

You donīt need chips to play backups. Only Dreamcast manufactured before september 2000 and sold in Japan canīt read normal cds, only GDs.

You can use any burning sofware as long as your burner is compatible with it.
And it's only special edition Japanese Dreamcasts (The Hello Kitty model is an example) that don't play copies. Meaning these don't read CDRs at all. All American Dreamcasts AFTER not before November 2000 require DATA to be in the first track in order for a back up to work. I have 7 American and 1 Japanese Dreamcast systems that were all manufactured before Nov 200 and they work with copies. As far as I know all PAL Dreamcasts work with back ups. |
