pls help pls help pls help

u guys probably heard of this on plenty times already, but please help me anyway thanks.

i upgraded from an sbox to an origa i think, when i first used it, it worked perfectly, booting dvdr and cdr regardless of its zone.

i recently encountered several problems whilst attempting to boot ntsc/uc and certain pal and ntsc/j games, am i doing something wrong? does anyone know of a 100% method of booting using a dvd region x? my ps2 boots final fantasy x2 ntsc/j fine, but using the same method, my ps2 can't boot up another final fantasy x2 ntsc/j from backup from another country, why is this, tenchu 3 pal backup boots fine, but tenchu 3 pal from another country fails to boot. if there is something wrong with the lense, shouldn't these games fail to boot as well? any pro with excellent advice will be truly and greatly appreciated
