best speed
what is the best speed for burning cd-r ps1/ps2 i use 6-8x too slow?

i use 48x never had a problem yet , i burn to hard drive then back to disc

I just ramp down to what I feel is an "appropriate" speed. (Really just based on trial and error...)
I find that 16x is a great speed for my 24x burner. Burns extra-reliable audio/video/psx/ps2 discs. As for DVD... burn at the speed that your system can sustain without using "burn-proof" or whatever the buffer underrun technology in your drive is called. DO NOT BURN AT 1X. It will, in fact, create bad burns. If you can get away with full-speed burns, by all means do so. - Gurm |
