well i didn't know whereelse to put it.look that funny situation i saw:

Situation:i just bought the new metallica cd(audio)run home and used audiocatalyst to grab em.it has 11 songs.i grabbed 10 and in the last it said aspi error.updated them but the same problem.i said what the **** is going on??well heres the funny.i thought it might be locked.scaned with clonyxxl nothing.???.turned the cd over and what did i see?its the same protection as laserlock(ring protect) but this one is on the end of the cd.the last song is 8,something but in audiocatalyst it said it was 11.well after 8,something there is no music.the time halts and nothing happense.how am i gonna bypass the protection?i made an image with alcohol120% as an audio cd and audio cd+ but nothing happened the same.
i thought i should post it here cause there is a protection involved and you guyz know something

Not sure where you should ask the question, but this is the game/crack section not music.

You might try

Yes, for sure - this is the wrong forum.

But, here a little instruction:
Take a post-it memo scrap and put it on the cd, exactly till in the ring (very important: NOT OVER THE RING). Cut of the rest of the memo scrap. You can also take a pen to "cross the ring" (see pic).

Now it should work !!!

This page has a decent overview of different audio cd protections, it might be useful.

Metallica CD

I had the same problem with my Easy CD Creator 5.0, but only with the last song nr 11. I did rip it from Windows Media Player though and I just thought it was a problem with my Easy CD software. Interesting that you can rip 8 or 10 out of 11 songs and then it got ... blank...
Anyhoops it's all in my computer now but I bought the record mind you and if you haven't seen the DVD with Metallica in the rehersalstudio then you are a sorry chap. It is the Dogs bollocks and you should really really try to get a hold of a copy.
