Unhappy Can my Action Replay play DVDs on No Solder Mod Chip???

Hi, I have a no solder mod chip in my V5 PS2 and can play CD copy games no problem with my action replay disk (note, the disk is just called action replay, no V2 or AR2 about it - and the dongle that comes with it is rectangular in shape, but does say V2 AR on it) which I got with the chip back in February of this year.

The problem appears when I try to play DVD games with it. They play fine with my partners AR2 V2 disk, but with my action replay they do not work. Does anyone know of a specific problem with the Action Replay I have, or an alternative boot technique that should work with it instead of the method used for the AR2 V2.

I'm completely stumped here. My partner suggested that this Action Replay has been designed not to stop the disc from spinning which is stopping the dvd's from working.

Hope someone can help here, thanks.

Here is a pic of what appears to be the same AR as mine :

It has nothing to do with the dongle and everything to do with the disc. You're pretty much SOL, since AR2's require TWO swaps to make DVD games work, and that's the problem - yours won't stop the disc a second time.

If you've not already done so Wolphee, try Nightstalker's method in the R-Mod "No Solder" section in here as it works on lots of the more recent AR's.
